<![CDATA[KARMA CLEANSE BY KATJA - Blog]]>Fri, 02 Feb 2018 01:03:02 -0800Weebly<![CDATA[Using Fear as a Stepping Stone]]>Thu, 01 Feb 2018 23:33:59 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/using-fear-as-a-stepping-stoneHope your year has started well and you’re taking steps confidently on your path to purpose!

After a long break, I have continued my horse riding hobby. First it felt scary to be back in the saddle but now I’m truly enjoying our 2-hour trails in the Spanish countryside. My favorite horse is called Lacasito meaning “little sweetie”. He is 19 years old and full of experience. I gained trust in him when he didn’t get scared of a snake that crossed our path. He took it very calm albeit I got spooked.

Last time we ended up taking the lead after our halfway break. Lacasito seemed to enjoy being the leading horse and picked up his speed, we got a blessing from the real group leader and we happily continued in our position… I admired the “front seat” views, it was a different experience to ride as the first one than follow the others...But then, suddenly I could feel how he cringed and my heart jumped. A big guardian dog barked at us as we passed by a property. In seconds, we recovered - it was just a dog… We had even seen the dog before but he managed to surprise us. I must say that I did stay more alert. A bit later, another dog spooked us, we still got scared but it was considerably less than the first time... The rest of the trail went well and when we got safely back to the stable, I shared these incidents with the leader. Her reply inspired me to write this letter as she said that “the leader horse always gets the spooks”.

I feel that this applies very well also to us when we are walking on our path to purpose, especially if we are walking a path less traveled.

We can get spooked, scared, panicked or even paralyzed by fear.

When that happens, our logical mind doesn’t always function that well, it’s hard to rationalize things when we are scared. Our obstacles just seem to grow bigger and we might feel getting smaller and smaller. That’s why it’s good to create a plan for those moments, a very simple plan. Just like buildings have their evacuation plans prepared - that’s why you need to prepare a plan for yourself how to get out from the fear zone.

Here are some steps that might help you to create your plan:

1. Observation - what are your thoughts, feelings, and actions. You might also prepare a list of your typical symptoms of fear so you recognize it easier, what has happened in the past can be a learning tool for you.

2. Tools. Prepare a goody bag of tools that can give you a feeling of calmness, trust and courage. These tools could be saying affirmations, reading quotes, watching inspirational videos, going for a walk in nature, etc. You can choose to remind yourself of your BIG WHY.

3. Angel List. Prepare a list of trusted friends or peers who you could reach out. You are not alone! Help is available! Also, I invite you to join my “Lightworkers Who Succeed On Purpose” group where support is available for you!

We all have our unique ways to experience and overcome our fears. When I was a little, I was scared of darkness, it helped when I switched the lights on. Now your awareness is the light switch that has the power to shift the situation. Your fear does not need to be an obstacle, you can turn it to be a stepping stone! As you overcome your fear, you expand your comfort zone and freedom!

"As you start to walk out on the way, the way appears." -Rumi

With Blessing of Light and Love,

P.S. I’d love to hear from you! Please share your thoughts and insights you gained on the comments.
<![CDATA[Happy New Year! What is your BIG WHY?]]>Mon, 01 Jan 2018 17:57:41 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/happy-new-year-what-is-your-big-whyEmbrace the sacredness of this day, the beginning of the New Year. Life loves you and gives you infinite chances to start new! Today is the day, a fresh start! Every moment is magical as it holds a potential for an everyday miracle! What happens if you say to yourself:

"This is my year!"

Just observe what comes to your mind when you say that out loud. Is there excitement? Is there doubt? Is there joy? Whatever there is, just write it down. You might discover thought patterns that have kept you stuck in the past and once you are aware of them, you have the power to change them. You can ponder what have you learned through believing in your thought pattern. Awareness of your thoughts and gratitude towards the learning will open the door to a new way of being - thoughts can be changed so that they support you on your journey and you have plenty of other choices too.

You can choose your thoughts.
You can choose your attitude.
You can choose your words.
You can choose your actions

But in order to make any change, any transformation, you need a reason! You need motivation to do it...

You need your BIG WHY!

Your BIG WHY will make you wake up with joy and excitement. It will keep your inner fire burning during the days. It will be the fuel that keeps you going when you face challenging situations. It will give you a deeper sense of purpose that will be your Northern Star!

Now you might ask how do you find your BIG WHY…

Give yourself the gift of space and time to reflect on your journal. First you can place your hands on your heart and take three deep breaths. Then you can start asking yourself seven deep WHY questions on the row, for example, “Why am I committed to starting a healing practice in 2018?” “Why is this idea on my bucket list?” “Why do I want to serve others this way?” “Why do I want to use what I learned to help others?” etc You build the questions on your answers and write down your BIG WHY.

May your BIG WHY to motivate you each day of this year to shine our Light and share our unique gifts, and succeed on purpose!

<![CDATA[The Time for Giving...]]>Fri, 01 Dec 2017 13:44:25 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/the-time-for-givingHappy December! The Season of Giving is here again, or maybe it has been in your heart every day during this year!

Last week I spoke with my wonderful friend who is a generous Spirit and a coach extraordinaire. She naturally takes care of others. When we talked, I just kept hearing a message “GIVE IN” from my Spirit Guide. Finally, I shared those words with her. Today I want to share this message with you. Because sometimes we need a reminder to embrace our own being. I felt called to expand the message and it became a poem...

Give IN

Now it’s time for RECEIVING

Fill your own cup so that is FULL
with Love, Light and Kindness of your HEART

To feel Loved
To be LOVE

To feel Joy
To be Joy
To feel Happy

To be Happy

Let it SHINE

The intention of this poem is to create an opening for receiving! For some of us, it might be taking baby-steps whilst some might be already ready to receive with ease. Wherever you are on the scale, open your arms and say “YES” - you deserve the best of the best - allow yourself to feel your own Love!

Love helps you to release what does not serve you any longer... It helps you to cultivate what you want to grow in your life. Start creating dreams for the future! Write them down! Maybe your wrote to Santa Claus when you were a child. Remember the feeling to believe that it's possible to receive! Those dreams can be big or small as long as they will make your heart smile!

I would love to hear from you - share your dreams!

<![CDATA[What happened in...]]>Sun, 01 Oct 2017 07:00:00 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/what-happened-inWhat a month September has been! I don’t know about you, but I have had a wonderful month. I started by moving to Puerto Banus (Spain) and signing a 9-month lease for an apartment. It was a huge relief to have a home after my traveler year that included 3 continents and total of 13 moves. No wonder that it feels nice to just sit on my terrace and admire the beautiful view - I can see La Concha mountain and the Mediterranean Sea. But Spirit had some plans for me…

I participated in a 3-day tour in Santiago de Compostela (Spain), which contained 8 km of hiking on the famous "Camino" of the pilgrims and the Sunday Mass in the Cathedral. One of my favorite moments during the trip was when we reached Cape Finisterre what means the end of the world. It was foggy and cold when we arrived at this sacred place where, according to the tradition, the pilgrims burn their clothes, leave their worn boots, and build crosses for gratitude. When our group's Spiritual Leader John Morton began his speech, the dense fog covered the view, he led us through a guided meditation that helped release the attachments. After the meditation, the thick fog had disappeared and I could see again the beautiful light. It was a very magical moment (see the photo below)!

My return flight landed in Seville from where the journey continued by train and I was able to see glimpses of the Andalusian countryside. But rolling stone does not have time to moss... I send this message from Birmingham (United Kingdom) where I attend HayHouse's "I Can Do It" event and honor Louise Hay's beautiful memory.

As we head into October and start the last quarter of the year, we can focus on finishing this year strong.

Do you still remember the goals you set for yourself in the beginning of the year? Take this time re-evaluate the goals you set in January. Are you on track to accomplish those goals? Are you prioritizing your purpose? If not, observe what is getting in the way as awareness is the key to resolve the situation. Identify what got you off track and make course corrections.

Acknowledge what you have accomplished so far and figure out how can you take action to succeed on purpose. It is possible! As beloved Louise Hay said: “Today I create a wonderful new day and a wonderful new future.”

Tell me what plans you have for the rest of the year...
<![CDATA[#1 Reason Why Some Fail While Others Succeed]]>Tue, 01 Aug 2017 23:38:13 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/1-reason-why-some-fail-while-others-succeedIf you feel tired from working so hard and never feeling like you’re doing enough or have the impact you truly desire, keep reading… This message is for you!
Maybe you have invested already thousands of dollars in programs to grow your business and create the lifestyle you desire, and they seem to be working wonders for everyone else except you…

Does this sound familiar?

At least it did for me in the past… When I started my entrepreneur life, I thought that things would take off within a year… But I ended up spending hours after hours in different training programs but never really got the results I desired… And I felt jealous reading others’ success stories. It seemed so easy for them and for me everything was such a hard work! I started to wonder that there must be something terribly wrong with me. Therefore I kept trying even harder, but I kept hitting the same glass ceiling again and again.

Things didn’t shift until I discovered the secret why some fail while others succeed.

And if you have also been trying so hard, I’m here to tell you there’s nothing wrong with you and you’re not alone.

These are all signs that karma is in action! You are going through a karmic challenge and since you are reading this, you’re ready to break free from the old patterns and karma that keep you stuck and spinning your wheels, never quite creating the business and the life you dream of.

The good news is that you no longer have to struggle with trying to figure this out on your own.
If you want to jump start on the path to creating the business, life, and future you desire, I’m here for you! The first thing you can do right now is to set a firm intention.

“I’m ready to receive success beyond imagination.”

Notice that I used the word ‘receive’ as that it might help to step away from ‘doing’. Yes, we do need to take action but we need to be also ready to receive the fruits of our labor!

If you want to create the business and life you desire, I invite you to set a firm intention by commenting YES below.

Get ready to experience success beyond imagination! It’s time to shine!
<![CDATA[The Lightness of Being]]>Sat, 01 Jul 2017 07:54:06 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/july-01st-2017Is there something that blocks you or even completely stops you from experiencing inner peace? Do you have conflicting feelings or thoughts about your past?

I wanted to give myself some time to unwind and relax, I created a space to just be. I purposefully freed my schedule so that I could spend some days in the Finnish countryside (and of course go to Finnish sauna). This was a proper disconnection for me as there was no internet.

After spending 15 years abroad, I have a new level of appreciation of the Finnish nature. It helps me to discover harmony and recharge my batteries.

At the beginning, it felt challenging to just be without doing because as an entrepreneur I'm used to constantly doing something or brainstorming ideas.

Now I gave myself a permission just to be. Let go of doing. And simply relax.
Easier said than done... My thoughts were racing. Some old thought patterns and unfelt feelings showed themselves. I simply observed them first, and then worked through them with my tools.

And then came a moment when I just enjoyed a ray of the sunshine that felt warm on my skin. I enjoyed a spontaneous meditation session that was inspired by the stillness of a lake. It helped me also to connect with my inner stillness.
“Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.” Earl Nightingale

If you notice that there is something blocking you to enjoy every minute, it's beneficial to pay attention to it. Sometimes we might choose to keep ourselves busy all the time as it keeps those unresolved issues lurking around unattended. When there’s time, those issues might pop up - though they are not coming surface to bug you, they come there for healing.

I believe that it's possible to make peace with the past and discover the stillness within. If you need help in the process, I'm here for you!
Have a lovely July!

With Love & Light,
<![CDATA[The Art of Observation]]>Thu, 01 Jun 2017 10:15:21 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/the-art-of-observationHope you are welcoming June in high spirits. After a long winter, it’s time to celebrate the beginning of the summer season in the Northern hemisphere.

I’ll be spending June in my country of origin, Finland. It will be magical as Finland is blessed to have nightless nights and endless Light during summer. It’s a huge contrast to winter’s polar nights.

This reminds me that we appreciate so much more Light when we have experienced darkness, at least I do! The dualist reality where we are living is based on learning through polarities good-bad, hot-cold, sorrow-joy and so on. They are all part of life but what we do with them is up to us.

Often we categorize our experiences and give labels to them. But what if we would focus on finding a learning from each experience. That way we might be able to let go of some labels and just see more clearly what is/was.

Why this is important? Because the labels can make us to stay stuck with the past events. You can test this. Just scan your life from this moment backwards until you find an event that has a negative label. Observe if that event has an emotional charge: what happens in your body, what thoughts are coming forward, what are you feeling? If you sense the charge, you can start processing this event in order to make peace with it.

As long as you are not in peace with your past, you have a hot button that people might keep pushing. This might trigger you to think, say and do something that you might regret later.

But it is possible to release those hot buttons. It is a process that you can start by observing your thoughts - what are the judgments that you have made? What kind of situations are pushing your button?

Just imagine for a moment how your life would be if you would have absolute inner peace with that past event… It is possible and it is available for you.

It might sound too simple to just observe but it is so powerful because it will start rising your level of awareness. But you don’t need to believe what I say, you can test this! Just start with observing yourself during 1 day and write down your observations. It might bring interesting insights!

Have a lovely June! ]]>
<![CDATA[Come What May...]]>Mon, 01 May 2017 14:36:40 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/come-what-mayDo you like to plan things? But what happens when things don’t go exactly as you plan?

Last month Mercury was on retrograde and that continues until May 3rd… If you don’t know astrology, you may want to know this one! I have started to pay more attention to these periods so that I can add an extra layer of compassion towards myself and others. All planets go retrograde, but Mercury’s journey seems to impact people much more than any other. Why is that? It’s because of Mercury rules communication, clear thinking, truth, and travel, so when the planet goes retrograde — which means that it looks like it’s going backward in the sky — all those things go backward. And also your electronic devices may crash for no reason!

For me, it was a challenging month to share my message as I experienced lots of issues with my internet connection. All of the sudden, the internet speed would drop, so I couldn’t do a scheduled Facebook Live or a planned interview... I needed to wait and wait while pages were opening…

I felt how frustration started building up inside of me. It sneaked in with an expectation that the internet should work like it had done yesterday. Those tempting ‘should’ sentences were just making the fire of frustration grow inside of me. All of the sudden, even the neighbors’ dog was barking louder and everything irritated me. I sensed pressure in my body, so much so, that I realized that I got to shift the energy fast or I would “explode” - I took the insight seriously and put on my gym clothes. I went for a brisk walk. I started breathing deeply again. Once I got home I felt better but I still added another step of self-care and did a guided meditation - I felt calm enough to do it now before the walk it would not have worked.

So what to do during those moments of frustration? Take a deep breath and observe it! Be curious what is happening in your body and what is the thought behind that truly is the cause for frustration. For example, I found out that the internet issues were just a trigger and deeper down I judged myself for letting people down as I wasn’t able to be impeccable with my word. If possible, do some physical activity like a walk in nature as that will help to get back in balance.

If you have experienced frustration last month, this is a great moment to clear it!

I recorded a short guided meditation that will help you to release it:

Let’s move forward Lighter and witness how our path will unfold with ease.

<![CDATA[Does This Bring Me Joy?]]>Sat, 01 Apr 2017 07:00:00 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/does-this-bring-me-joyThe spring sun is shining in the Northern hemisphere. It’s a perfect time for spring cleaning.

In my case, spring cleaning meant packing as I’m heading to Europe for summer. I’m not a fan of packing as I need to make decisions - what do I take with me, what will I store and what will I donate. As I went through my stuff that magically had accumulated, it was also a wonderful process of letting go of things that don’t serve me any longer. It felt so good to let go of some old clothes that had been only collecting dust on my wardrobe.

You might already be aware of Marie Condo’s book called “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing”, it has a.magic phrase ‘does this bring me joy?’. I used it during my packing process.

If your home feels messy, or maybe it’s your life or thoughts, you can start by organizing one thing in your home. Take a small step like putting one thing to its place, choosing one item to donate. It might feel incredibly small action but we need to start somewhere and often when we start something, we get on-roll of doing it.

Creating organization and clarity in one area, however tiny, might help to gain clarity on other areas as well. Also note that things accumulate energy too - so you might start feeling lighter if you let go of things that don’t serve you any longer.

This same applies to our memories & stuffed down emotions too - our body is like a storage unit for them. If we store our past hurts for a long period of time, there is a price that we need to pay for this storage. It can be unhealthy as these emotions can toxify us. Simply, our lives don’t function too well, we might keep attracting people and situation that keep poking our hurt or experience self-sabotaging patterns, sleep problems, depression, and lack of energy. If you have experienced these symptoms, I’d love to invite you to have a complimentary session with me! I want to help you to release negative emotions like resentment, anger, guilt, shame, and jealousy as over time they start affecting our body, immune system, and can even lead to disease. If we keep carrying unresolved past hurts, it’s like consuming poison daily.

I’m gifting away 5 free 45-minutes Breakthrough Book your complimentary sessions* here, it’s my spring gift for you:

Spring is the time of growth! You are planting seeds for new habits that you want to cultivate.

With Love & Light,

*If you haven’t had a complimentary session with me this year, feel free to book one now!

<![CDATA[How to Find Some Direction When You're Feeling Lost]]>Thu, 02 Mar 2017 04:10:09 GMThttp://katjarusanen.com/blog/how-to-find-some-direction-when-youre-feeling-lostNow we are about to begin the third month of the year. Do you feel that you are movingforward with a purpose or are you feeling lost?

Recently I got lost. During February, California did not quite match its sunny reputation. One day, I had to drive in a local winter storm that brought a LOT of rain into the drought-stricken state. Whether it was due to heavy rain or something else, my GPS went absolutely berserk. It led me to drive around the same block without directing me towards my destination. I pulled over and took a moment to study the map on my phone, then I planned my route and continued my journey.

And unbelievable but true - later that day, it happened again! Then I knew that this was a message for me!

Often, we are looking for a purpose, a deeper meaning for our lives, and we hope to find a map that would lead us there, or at least I hoped to find it before. I pondered already at a very young age what is the purpose of my life and how I could find the path that would help me to fulfill my mission here.

We live in the midst of abundance, we have so many possibilities, and also distractions that test us on our journey. Sometimes we may be afflicted with the difficulty to choose. Sometimes it may seem easier to follow others instead of having the courage to create our own unique path. It's also possible that we might focus on boosting our egos or numbing ourselves with food, alcohol or drugs, or we can concentrate on seeking physical satisfaction... Or we can simply end up repeating the same old pattern over and over again. But all these experiences have a purpose.

During that winter day, I had to stop and contemplate. After a while, the purpose of the message became crystal clear. I had got back to my old pattern in one of my relationships. It was the pattern that I had already wanted to leave behind me but as usual, it's easy to go back to old habits. This awareness gave me an opportunity to make a course correction. In the past, I have had a tendency to go for an extra mile for others even if it means sacrificing myself, as I set my own desires behind others. Now I was faced with a choice - I could keep repeating the old pattern, or I could put my own desires first and have an open and honest discussion around this topic with my friend. Thanks to this awareness I am able to break through this pattern and take a step forward.

We can use all our experiences for learning, upliftment, and growth. For me, the wide spectrum of emotions and experiences began to make more sense when I saw a clearer picture of the overall purpose of my life. I learned to understand my life lessons, talents and goals better during a Soul Plan Reading in 2011. It was the moment when pieces of a puzzle started to fall into place, and I could see how a bigger picture started to take a form. My Soul Plan became like a road map that has helped me forward in this world.

"Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself, and know that everything in life has purpose. There are no mistakes, no coincidences, all events are blessings given to us to learn from." -Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Now it's a good time to check whether you are moving toward your goals and dreams, or if it's a time to make a course correction... I am happy to support you if needed.

I’d love to hear from you, please reply to this message and share your thoughts.

With Love & Light,
