As the Buddhist Proverb says "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.", Blue Marsden introduced me to the fascinating world of the Soul Plan.
1. Soul Plan is a new interpretation of an ancient system of life purpose analysis. Was there a special event that gave you the idea to develop a Soul Plan system?
I have always had some ability to see the benefit in things which initially seem obscure and then communicate this in a way that a wider remit of people can relate to. So I started to do this naturally as I give readings and teach the material. Additionally I had also experienced what might be described as a non-dual realization which initially seemed at odds with the system, yet overtime and particularly as I researched its origins, I discovered was very resonant and have subsequently been able to blend this into the work.
2. What is the biggest benefit that you have received from knowing your Soul Plan?
Although I had already been practicing therapies for a decade before I knew my own Soul Plan, on confirming that I was here to be directly of service to others, I was motivated to do more of this and to a greater degree. So you could say it activated and freed up a greater capacity.
It is very easy to get side tracked by the distractions of life but if we can maintain an involvement with our core raison d'être and consciously place ourselves in situations that resonate with our deeper purpose then many aspects of life begin to flow in ways we cannot fathom or control (this is a good thing!). Sometimes this involves letting go, so essentially it is about trust.
3. Tell me about your book "Soul Plan - Reconnect with Your True Life Purpose", which is published by Hay House UK. What do you most want the reader to get from this book?
At a basic level I wish the reader to gain a greater awareness of their path and purpose as well as specific resources and tools to help them reconnect and overcome challenges - I call this a 'Life purpose upgrade'. At a more profound level I would hope that some readers may experience a pointing towards something that lies beyond our everyday identity and towards a deeper understanding of who they / we are at the level of essence. If this can be experienced or to some extent even deeply understood it can help free people from a lot of the existential anxiety which seems to be rife for most people nowadays regardless of the image they portray or the ideals portrayed by the media.
4. What advice do you offer people who struggle to overcome their challenges?
Firstly accept that everything that has happened to you in your life so far or even whatever issue is occurring in this moment is just 'what is.' It makes no sense to dwell on it or to regret what is now past because it is no longer 'what is'. Each moment is new.
So what to do next?
Start focusing on whatever ability you have to share or make a contribution to others. Even if your problems persist for a while, by turning your focus outwards to others or the world - very soon you will experience some relief and a new sense of beingness that will begin to draw you into a positive spiral. A positive spiral generates new situations and creates space for more abundance (in many forms).
The acceptance and the action are equally important and if you can only enact one or the other that will be good enough. For with total acceptance anything and everything is good enough. With devoted action your focus is naturally drawn away from your challenges.
5. Do you have a healing affirmation or message that you would like to share with readers?
I think this message will have value for many of your readers:
I choose authenticity. I choose to be who I truly am. I choose to free my spirit.
