We might have slept badly, we might want to sleep more, but we have another day ahead of us. It is a privilege that many people do not have! Despite whatever life lessons we are going through, we have always things to be grateful for and the biggest one is our life.
When I realized this, I trained myself to say the words “Thank you“ when I’m waking up. I must confess that I’m a night owl and mornings used to be a great struggle for me but when I started using gratitude, it helped me feel much, much better every morning. It is simple reminder how precious our life truly is.
The challenge for March is to simply say “Thank you“ every morning when you wake up.
“When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light, for your life and strength. Give thanks for your for and the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies with yourself.“ Tecumseh (Shawnee Native American Leader)
You can start this gratitude habit today and enjoy the benefits every morning when you wake up. If you feel the gratitude in your heart, it will make you smile.
