The good news is you can learn how to be and feel confident. Confidence is not something you were born with or without, it’s a learned skill. But still many people struggle to find self-confidence and I was one of them. I want to share with you a couple of methods that helped me, hope you will find them useful too.
Before you read this letter further, check your posture and take your time to observe the feeling that you have right now.
The way a person carries himself or herself tells a story. By practicing good posture, you’ll automatically appear and feel more confident. This you can start right now - begin to lift up your head, push those shoulders back and smile. Observe if this shifted your feelings.
The challenge for April is to be your own best friend at least once a day! Think how you would comfort or encourage your best friend and then you envelop yourself in that same caring feeling and focus on it until the negative thought has disappeared. Start observing your thoughts and sending love to yourself every single time when you feel your negative thoughts and feelings arise.
The Buddha said, 'you yourself deserve as much love as every other being in the universe!'
You can now begin your exciting journey, where you’ll feel more confident, begin to trust yourself and have a much more positive and proactive approach to life.
