You have this superpower within that can help you to navigate through life with ease. We all have been given a gift of intuition, which is also called as our 6th sense, and we can learn how to use it.
Since my childhood I was guided to trust my intuition. I had a privilege to have a mother, who was very tuned into her intuition. She could say things like 'I have a feeling that someone comes to visit,' and soon somebody would pop by. She was my first teacher who taught me how to connect with the gift of intuition. I learned from her to tune in and pay attention to my 6th sense. Though I went through a period of time, when my analytical mind took over and I did shut down my intuition, but I found a way to restore my golden compass of life.
Why do I trust my intuition more than my mind? It’s because my mind is limited. My mind is collecting and storing knowledge and it’s using existing information to find the best possible solution. It's doing a great job to analyze and compare information what I already have, sometimes I feel that my mind opens and I get a great inspiration. It's a moment when I'm thinking outside the box and finding a creative solution.
Isn’t it interesting that according Oxford Dictionary the word ‘inspiration’ comes from Latin verb inspirare which means 'breathe or blow into', from in- 'into' + spirare 'breathe'. The word was originally used of a divine or supernatural being, in the sense 'impart a truth or idea to someone'.
Take a moment to ponder a possibility that your creative solutions and ideas could be one way how you are using your intuition. Search for moments when you got inspired or all of a sudden found a creative solution. If you are interested in developing your intuition, write down how you experienced these moments.
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” Albert Einstein
