August carries a different kind of energy.
In astrology, August is the month of Leo, often associated with courage, confidence, visibility, and allowing yourself to step into the spotlight. Whether you follow astrology or simply appreciate the symbolism, I think it’s a beautiful invitation.
Not to seek attention.
But to stop hiding your gifts.
For many entrepreneurs, coaches, and leaders, visibility isn’t really about marketing.
It’s about vulnerability.
Every time we record a video, step onto a stage, launch a new program, or share a deeper part of our story, we’re allowing ourselves to be seen in a new way.
That can feel exciting.
It can also feel uncomfortable.
The Girl Who Hated School Presentations
Today, Facebook reminded me of a memory from 12 years ago.
I had just received my Toastmasters Competent Communicator ribbon.
Looking at that photo made me smile because if you had known me growing up, you probably wouldn’t have guessed I’d one day become a speaker.
I was incredibly shy.
School presentations were something I dreaded. I still remember having nightmares before presentation days. Just the thought of standing in front of the class filled me with anxiety.
Speaking was never something that came naturally to me.
That’s exactly why joining Toastmasters became such an important part of my journey.
Not because I wanted to become a professional speaker.
But because I no longer wanted fear to make my decisions for me.
Confidence Is Built, Not Born
Looking back, I realise something I couldn’t see at the time.
Confidence wasn’t something I suddenly found.
It was something I built.
One speech at a time.
One uncomfortable moment at a time.
One decision to keep going.
That journey eventually led me to speaking internationally, interviewing inspiring guests, writing Your Spiritual Curriculum, leading transformational sessions, and sharing my work with people around the world.
None of that would have happened if I had waited until I felt completely ready.
Your Invisible Ceiling Around Visibility
Over the years, I’ve noticed something interesting.
Many successful entrepreneurs don’t struggle because they lack knowledge, experience, or talent.
They struggle because somewhere beneath the surface, a part of them doesn’t yet feel safe being seen.
That invisible hesitation can show up in subtle ways.
You keep putting off recording the video.
You delay reaching out about the podcast interview.
You hesitate before speaking on a bigger stage.
You second-guess whether you’re ready to launch your next program.
On the surface, it can look like procrastination.
But often, it’s something deeper.
It’s what I call an Invisible Ceiling.
A hidden pattern quietly influencing your decisions, even though another part of you knows you’re ready for more.
Visibility Is an Act of Service
One of the biggest shifts in my own journey came when I stopped thinking about visibility as something that was about me.
Instead, I started asking a different question.
What if someone needs to hear what I have to say?
That changes everything.
Being visible isn’t about seeking attention.
It’s about making it easier for the people you’re here to serve to find you.
Your message can’t change someone’s life if they never hear it.
A Question for August
Whether Leo season means something to you astrologically or simply serves as a reminder, I’d love to leave you with one question:
Where is life inviting you to become more visible?
Perhaps it’s finally saying yes to speaking.
Perhaps it’s sharing your story more openly.
Perhaps it’s stepping onto a bigger stage.
Or perhaps it’s simply trusting that your voice matters.
Whatever it is, remember this.
Confidence rarely comes before the first step.
More often, it grows because we take it.
