We’re officially halfway through the year.

For high achievers, visionaries, and purpose-driven coaches and healers, this is often the time when the mind goes into planning mode. We review our goals, assess our progress, adjust our strategies, and focus on everything we want to accomplish before the year ends.

But what if the most valuable thing you could do right now isn’t to create a new plan?

What if it’s to pause and ask a different question?

What has the first half of this year been trying to teach me?

Life Doesn’t Happen to You. It Happens for You.

In my book, Your Spiritual Curriculum, I share a perspective that completely transformed my life after I left my corporate career.

Life doesn’t happen to you. It happens for you.

Every experience carries an opportunity for growth.

Your Soul isn’t measuring your life by your income, job title, or the number of goals you’ve achieved. It is guiding you through experiences that invite you to expand in awareness, love, and wisdom.

Sometimes those experiences arrive as joyful breakthroughs.

Sometimes they arrive as challenges.

Both have something to teach us.

Your Soul Is Always Leaving Clues

True growth begins when we become curious about the experiences that have shaped our lives.

Perhaps over the past six months you’ve noticed:

  • A challenge or boundary issue that keeps repeating.

  • An unexpected opportunity that completely changed your plans.

  • A person who entered your life at exactly the right moment.

  • A quiet inner knowing that it’s time to evolve how you lead, work, or live.

When we stop seeing these moments as random distractions or obstacles, we begin to recognize something deeper.

They aren’t getting in the way of our lives.

They are our Spiritual Curriculum.

Why Reflection Matters

As Mercury Retrograde begin last month, we’re naturally invited to slow down, reflect, and look inward instead of constantly pushing ahead.

For many high achievers, slowing down can feel uncomfortable.

Yet reflection often creates the clarity that action alone cannot.

Sometimes the answer isn’t found by doing more.

Sometimes it’s revealed by understanding what your Soul has been trying to show you all along.

A Question for You

As you begin this new month, I’d like to leave you with one simple question:

What has your current Spiritual Curriculum been trying to show you this year?

Take a few quiet moments away from your to-do list.

Open your journal.

Reflect on the first half of the year.

You may discover that the clarity you’ve been seeking has been quietly revealing itself through your experiences all along.

Wishing you a beautiful July filled with awareness, alignment, and meaningful growth.
